Your Gift Will Make Room-TaNya Lewis aka "Nina David"

TaNya Lewis aka "Nina David" - is a graduate of Flint Central High School, where her focus was literary arts and drama. During her high school career she performed in many productions and was inducted into the Thespian Society for actors. After graduation she attended Mott Community College studying Social Work. During this time she decided to pursue a dream, enrolled in Scottsdale Culinary Arts Institute and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where she received her formal Chef training. Tanya was the first African American to be elected as a Class President and spear headed new programs for the student body. Utilizing concepts and plans developed during her training, in 2004, she established Legacy Food and Catering. TaNya is currently a manager of Kaplan Out Take for Eurest Diner Service at Kaplan University in Boca Raton, Florida. Ms. TaNya Lewis is currently the only African American female manager in her company in the Southern.

In addition, following her passion of dramatic arts, since age of 15, TaNya participated in the Church of God In Christ Scholastic Motivation Ministries (SMM) Drama Ministry. She studied under Coordinator Mr. Brandon DeLaGrantis, who has performed on Broadway and is now performing on stage internationally. He recognized her gift and skill and requested she be elevated from participant to Assistant Coordinator. When he was unable to continue with SMM, due to his career opportunities, Mr. DeLagrantis, recommended to Executive Director, Supt. Michael Eaddy that she become Coordinator. At age 22, in partnership with SMM, "Nina David" began producing her original scripts on stage at the International AIM Convention of the Church of God in Christ. She has taught the art to young people of the church from around the country and has now directed an international cast, with a member from London. And there is more to the script being written. Your gift truly will make room for you.
