About Martha's Place

Martha's Place - a reflection of the atmosphere and experience felt while sitting at the feet of Dr. Martha W. Coleman. A woman of wisdom and great influence. A woman who loved God, His Word and Prayer. She possessed a quiet demeanor, with a powerfully magnetic personality. Her smile would invite you into her presence, her embrace would comfort your broken heart, and her calm voice would sooth your troubled spirit. Her words of guidance and wisdom would forever resound in your ears as you parted to face the life ahead. For it is life she shared, life she spoke and life she expected you to live.

You will experience the ambiance of Martha's place. Created with words accompanied by the furnishings that provide you with the sense of home. Where the heart of the mother saturates the environment with love and affection, causing you to feel that there is no one there but the two of you. Her words ooze with love and her kind touch replaces the roughness of your experiences.
What happens in Martha's Place? What secrets are revealed there? What hurts are healed in Martha's Place, and finally, what revelations are unfolded as you sit in "Martha's Place"? With a quiet confidence Mother Martha W. Coleman would share of herself, her wisdom, and loving care with all those who would enter her presence.

Please come and join us as we Sit at the feet of Wisdom in Martha's Place.

Where are the M&N's - Evangelist Colleen Shepherd-Adams

Evangelist Collen Shepard-Adams - attended Bishop State College in Mobile, Alabama and Alabama State College where she pursued her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She furthered her studies in Computer Technology and Information Systems at Lansing Community College, where she has taught classes in Fashion Design.

If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me, was part of the mandate Evangelist Adams received when she felt the call to step out on God's Word. Having been equipped by God with His anointing, she has sought to follow that call wherever it has led her; in hospitals, youth centers, prison facilities, and overseas. She has an unquenchable desire to see the captive set free.

She has been blessed to speak and sing in concerts and conferences across the country and has shared the stage and recorded with some of the most recognized individuals in the gospel arenas today. These include: Evangelist Shirley Caesar, Bishop G. E. Patterson, Evangelist Jackie McCollough, Evangelist Beverly Crawford, Pastor Donnie McClurkin and many others.

She is truly Blessed to be a Blessing!

Where are the M&M's - Ms.Kayce Shepherd

Kayce Shephard - a graduate of Flint Central High School, received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Education Degree from Central Michigan University. NACI MAI helps promote positive self image in young females, teaching them to know and appreciate their value. She has always believed that you can make choices, but you can't choose the consequences so she says"choose wisely". Realizing that God's hand was upon her at a very young age, she chose the path less traveled. " I want my life to count for something more than just fulfilling my own desires". In continuing to seek God to find her purpose, Kayce says, "I'm reminded of a Proverb that my great grandmother spoke to me. It reads "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path". Proverbs 3:5-6.

Born in Kansas City, MO, and has been a resident of Saginaw, MI since 1941. She found her way to care for many even though she birthed no children of her own.

When she moved to Saginaw, with her husband Eddie Morgan, they became members of Harris Temple Church of God In Christ, where she continues to worship. During these years she has served as Sunday School Teacher, Youth Teacher now known as Young People's Willing Workers (YPWW). In the early years of the church, her Pastors wife began the Industrial Daughters, which she says became the model for the National Church Of God In Christ Women's Department Young Women's Christian Council (YWCC). Her diligence was recognized by one of the Sisters who recommended her for a position in the Dietary Department at St. Mary's Hospital. She worked there serving patients meals for 12 years.

Following a vacation, she came home to learn that a new brother had joined their fellowship. The Lord gave she and her husband compassion on him and they took him into their home. They became mentors to him and his wife, the late Dr. Hurley J. and Martha Coleman, Founders of the Coleman Temple COGIC in Saginaw, MI. And they affectionately began to call her "Aunt Gerald".

Conference Host

Supervisor E. Yvonne Lewis
Conference Host
CEO, Sharing Graceful Visions

The Birthing Out Our Ministries In Christ (BOOM INC) Conference is the signature event of Sharing Graceful Visions, Inc., which was officially birthed out in August 2010. For many years the Lord has been impressing upon Mother Lewis to reach out and touch the hearts of women. This conference is designed to engage and motivate participants to identify their ministry, setting specific goals to walk toward their destined purpose. In the mid 90's, she heard the resounding phrase "Prepare for purpose with purpose on purpose", it is now that she more clearly understands this call of God. To effectively birth out ministry, the necessary steps must be taken, things put in order and the right place prepared for the baby to be born.

As you join us in this Conference, through the shared experience of others, you will be assisted in identifying your gift(s) and taking steps toward bringing them to life.

Mother Lewis, is a graduate of Ferris State University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration; the University of Michigan-Flint, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical/Community Psychology, and has completed course work for her Master of Science in Health Education, University of Michigan-Flint.
